Your existing hair stays at full length; only hidden slivers of the donor area are trimmed, and grafts are placed between your long hairs with a DHI implanter pen. It is the discreet option for people whose work makes a shaved head a announcement they don’t want to make.
The technique, without the brochure gloss
The recipient area is never shaved. In the donor area, narrow horizontal bands are trimmed where the hair above naturally covers them — visible to your barber, invisible to your colleagues.
Placement is by DHI implanter pen, working graft by graft between your existing hairs. It is the slowest, most painstaking version of hair transplantation we offer, and it is priced accordingly.
Honesty note: “invisible” needs qualifying. For the first two or three days there is redness at the hairline if your style exposes it. From day three or four, styled normally, nobody looks twice.

Design without the shave
The hairline is agreed with your hair styled as you normally wear it — which is actually an advantage: you see the design in context.

Concealed donor trim
Thin bands at the back are trimmed and immediately covered by the hair above them.

Grafts are taken from the trimmed bands, exactly as in any FUE procedure.

The honest limitation
The graft ceiling is a hard one: beyond roughly 2,000 grafts per session, working between long hairs stops being precise. If your pattern needs more, we’ll tell you honestly — the answer is usually a shaved Sapphire FUE session, or two staged unshaven sessions a year apart, priced as two.

From day three or four, styled normally — yes, in our experience nobody notices. Days one and two show redness at the hairline if it’s exposed; a loose cap covers the interim (we’ll tell you when a cap is safe to wear).
Time. Working between full-length hair roughly doubles the minutes per graft. You’re paying for the same team’s day, applied to fewer grafts, more carefully.
