Mesotherapy for Hair Loss
Micro-doses of nutrients, delivered where the follicles live.
Mesotherapy delivers a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and peptides into the middle layer of the scalp through a grid of tiny superficial injections — feeding the follicle environment directly rather than through the bloodstream.
The treatment, without the brochure gloss
The idea behind mesotherapy is direct delivery: rather than swallowing nutrients and hoping a fraction reaches the scalp, a tailored mixture is micro-injected millimetres from the follicles themselves. Formulas typically combine B-vitamins, minerals like zinc, amino acids, hyaluronic acid and circulation-supporting peptides.
Sessions are quick and superficial — a grid of tiny injections across the thinning area, repeated weekly or fortnightly across a course.
Honesty note, and it’s a big one: for androgenetic (pattern) hair loss, the published evidence for mesotherapy is thin. It can plausibly support hair quality where deficiency or a struggling scalp environment is part of the picture. It does not block the hormone that drives pattern loss, and it will not out-perform the boring, proven tablet. We sell it as a supporting treatment or not at all.
Step by step
- 1
Scalp assessment
We look for what mesotherapy can actually address — quality, environment, deficiency-adjacent thinning — and say so if there is nothing for it to do.
- 2
Formula selection
The mixture is matched to the scalp in front of us, not scooped from one universal vat.
- 3
Micro-injection grid
Tiny superficial injections across the treatment zone; most patients rate it a 2 out of 10.
- 4
Course and review
Weekly or fortnightly across 6–10 sessions, with photos at the start so results are judged honestly.
Who it suits
- Hair quality and density support alongside proven treatment
- Post-transplant scalp conditioning
- Telogen effluvium recovery support — shedding after stress or illness
- Patients wanting a gentle, no-downtime adjunct
Who it doesn't
- Anyone expecting mesotherapy alone to stop pattern hair loss — it won’t
- Fully bald areas
- Scalp infection or inflammatory conditions in flare — treat those first
Our honest grading
Mesotherapy is one of the most over-sold treatments in this industry — pleasant, repeatable, profitable, and graded “limited” by the evidence for pattern loss. We say that on the page where we sell it, because the patient who hears the truth about the small things believes us about the big ones. If your loss is hormonal and progressing, we will steer you to what actually stops it first.
Asked about Mesotherapy
On a bald area, no. What it can do is support the quality and resilience of hair you still have, particularly where the scalp environment is part of the problem. Anyone promising regrowth from vitamins alone is selling hope by the millilitre.
PRP has the better evidence base for pattern loss, and if you are choosing one adjunct, we would usually point you there. Mesotherapy is gentler, cheaper per session, and best framed as scalp support rather than regrowth treatment.
Transient redness and pinpoint marks for a day or so, occasional mild headache. Serious problems are rare with sterile technique and proper formulas — which is exactly what you should verify in any clinic offering it.
The right treatment starts with the right diagnosis.
