Autologous Stem Cell Treatment (Regenera Activa)
Three tiny samples from your own scalp, turned into a regenerative concentrate.
Regenera Activa is a single-session autologous treatment: a few rice-grain punch samples are taken from the back of your scalp, mechanically processed into a cell-rich suspension, and injected into the thinning zones — all within about an hour.
The treatment, without the brochure gloss
The logic of Regenera Activa is elegant: the safest, most compatible regenerative cells for your scalp are the ones already living in it. Under local anaesthetic, two or three tiny punch samples — smaller than a grain of rice — are taken from the loss-resistant zone at the back of your head.
A mechanical processing device breaks the samples into a suspension of cells, progenitors and growth factors, which is injected back into the thinning areas the same hour. One visit, no laboratory shipping, nothing that isn’t yours.
Honesty note: among the regenerative options, Regenera has some of the more encouraging small studies in early pattern loss — genuinely promising, still short of the large-trial standard we call proven. We grade it “early but genuine”: a fair bet as a supporting treatment, especially for younger patients not ready for surgery.
Step by step
- 1
Micro-sampling
2–3 tiny punch biopsies from the donor-safe zone under local anaesthetic. The sites are invisible within days.
- 2
Mechanical processing
The samples are processed into a cell suspension in the room, within minutes.
- 3
Injection
The concentrate is placed across the thinning zones in a fine grid.
- 4
Annual rhythm
Effects are typically supported with a repeat session after 12 months or so, guided by your photo record.
Who it suits
- Early pattern loss in patients not ready — or not yet right — for surgery
- Strengthening miniaturising zones around a planned transplant
- Patients who want autologous treatment in a single visit
- The medication-averse, as a partial alternative with honest framing
Who it doesn't
- Advanced, shiny baldness — no cells can repopulate an empty landscape
- Anyone expecting transplant-scale change
- Active scalp disease at the sampling or injection sites
Our honest grading
This is the regenerative option we are most comfortable recommending to the right patient — a genuine single-session autologous therapy with early evidence moving in the right direction. It still supports rather than replaces the proven pillars, and our assessment will say plainly which role it could play in your case, if any.
Asked about Regenera Activa
No — two or three rice-grain punches from an area containing thousands of follicular units. The sites close within days and are invisible in a normal haircut.
Early changes — less shedding, better hair quality — typically appear from month two or three; peak effect around months six to nine; a maintenance session is usual around the one-year mark.
Different mechanisms, overlapping goals. PRP is cheaper per course with a longer track record; Regenera is one session with a richer autologous payload and encouraging early data. Case by case — which is what the free assessment is for.
